Today's topic is about nearly the most common infections/diseases that a rabbit may have: Ear Mites
The reason I'm writing this is because my BFF, Bax the Rabbit has ear mites and it is so excessive that his ears can't stay straight more than a few seconds. It's super difficult to capture a photo of his ears as he always want scratch. This was my best and worst pic of his ears:

As you *probably* can see, the white-crusted like flake is what causing your rabbit to itch. Inside of the ears are also mite-infested (if you have these flaky stuff) so you have to do the treatment there, too. Which did and will be hard to keep Bax still.
Do not remove the flaky stuff, as this will result to hurting the rabbit and if you do that, bacteria will spread quickly to your bun.

Before doing anything, separate your infested bunny away from other non-infested bunny. Or bunnies. Ear mites spread quickly and your whole flock of bunnies would be in ear mite danger.

Separate them. Bax, the Hotot is the one infested, while Lux, the Netherland Dwarf is not infested-- yet.
EAR MITE SYMPTOMS
1) Too many scratching at the ears - Beginning - Especially here:

2) Flaky crust thingy - Getting worse -

3) Ears not straight - Needs treatment A.S.A.P. -
